About this event

We’re back in person! Come celebrate all the amazing things your fellow filmmakers have been up to this year. Reconnect with old friends and build new relationships. Let’s raise a glass together and ring in the new year!

Ginger’s Bar continues the tradition of honoring its own history in the space. The bar was once one of many lesbian bars that opened in Park Slope in the early 2000s. Now it is the last one standing in Brooklyn.

This in-person mixer is open to all Film Fatales members and their personal guests. We will be gathering in the back room for a toast and a group photo. Cash bar. See you there!

Anything else to expect?

We are committed to creating a safe space where filmmakers can gather and support one another. Avoid assuming people’s needs, gender identities, and/or backgrounds. Creating an inclusive space requires acknowledging existing power dynamics. If you are from a dominant or privileged identity please practice making space, through listening, unseating yourself, and passing the mic. If you are from a historically marginalized group, please practice taking up space, sharing your ideas, and raising your voice. See you soon!

Film Fatales organizes panel discussions, educational workshops and networking mixers focused on amplifying underrepresented voices in film and television. Capacity is limited. Your participation constitutes your consent to being photographed during the event and to Film Fatales sharing those photos with the world. Please contact info@filmfatales.org if you require an accessible accommodation.
